Tamil Nadu grows a great deal of coconut and refines a great deal of oil. Very little of it is virgin. Refining is faster, cheaper, and forgiving of poor raw material — the bleaching and deodorising stages hide a multitude of sins.
Virgin coconut oil has nowhere to hide. If the copra was bad, the oil tells you. That is why making it starts long before the press.
Why the Coconut Belt Matters
Our unit sits at Kangayam, inside the Tamil Nadu coconut belt. We buy coconut from growers within a short radius and dry it on our own yard. Short distances mean the kernel does not sit around before it dries, and moisture stays controllable.
What We Do Not Do
- No refining stage
- No bleaching earth or clarifying agents
- No deodorising
- No chemical solvents
The oil keeps its aroma and its colour. That is not a flaw; that is the product.
Cold Pressed, Low Temperature
We use traditional wooden ghani and modern cold extraction. Heat is quick and heat is destructive. Keeping the press cool is the difference between virgin oil and expensive ordinary oil.

Virgin oil is not refined, bleached or deodorised, and no chemical solvents are used. Refining strips all of that out, which is why refined oil is odourless and cheaper.
Because the kernel does not travel before it dries. Short distances between grower and drying yard keep moisture controllable, and moisture is what decides oil quality.
