Before You Begin

Checklist of Documents Required

Keep these ready in digital format (clear scan or photo) before starting the signup. Having them ready avoids delays mid-process.

PAN and Aadhaar Number
Your PAN card number and 12-digit Aadhaar number — both are required for identity verification.

Signature Sample Scan Copy
Sign on plain white paper and take a clear scan or photo. This is uploaded during the process.

Bank Proof — Soft Copy  Any ONE of the options below

Passbook front page — clear scan copy with IFSC & MICR codes printed, having bank logo and bank name

Cancelled cheque scan copy — with your name printed on it

Online bank statement in PDF — with IFSC & MICR codes printed, having bank logo and bank name

Note 1: Name across PAN, Aadhaar and bank proofs should be same. Any mismatch will delay or reject your application.

How It Works

Follow each step in order. The entire process is online, paperless, and takes around 15–20 minutes.

Link Aadhaar through DigiLocker
  • Choose required segments
    Click Continue
  • Click Continue to DigiLocker

Provide Personal Details and our Partner Code
  • Enter Parent's name, select Marital status, income, trading experience, occupation etc.
  • Enter our Assisted By code — call us if you didn't get this option.

  • Choose either UPI (recommended) or manually enter bank details:

Scan QR and pay ₹1 — bank will be registered without needing any bank proof.
Manual Entry Alternative
Enter IFSC and bank account number — requires a bank proof to be uploaded in Step 4.

E-Sign Documents

    Enter Aadhaar Number
    Give OTP
    ⚠️ You need to enter Aadhaar and OTP twice to sign all documents.
  • Click Finish
    Your Client ID details will be displayed, with an option to set your login password.
Once the eSign process is completed — ping back at the numbers below. We will follow up and get your demat account opened immediately. You will also be added to our exclusive Fincliniq-Zerodha support groups.

Quick answers to the questions our clients ask most often.

You need: (1) PAN and Aadhaar number, (2) a signature sample scan copy, and (3) one bank proof — either your passbook front page scan, a cancelled cheque, or a PDF bank statement. The bank proof must clearly show your name, bank logo/name, IFSC and MICR codes. Also keep your Aadhaar-linked mobile number nearby for OTP.
Yes — the name across PAN, Aadhaar and bank proofs must be exactly the same. Even a minor spelling difference can delay or reject your application. Resolve any mismatch before starting the process.
Your Aadhaar-linked mobile number is required to receive OTP during the DigiLocker linking step and the eSign step. It can be a different number from your Zerodha login number — but it must be active and with you during the process.
The Fincliniq Assisted By code is ZMPCDF. You enter this in the "Assisted By" field during Step 3 (Personal Details). This links your account to Fincliniq for extended support. If you don't see this field, call us immediately — do not skip it.
Yes, and it is recommended. In Step 3, choose the UPI method — scan the QR code and pay ₹1 using any UPI app. Your bank gets registered instantly and you will not need to upload any bank proof in Step 4. The manual bank entry method requires a bank proof upload.
Once the eSign is done, ping us at any of our numbers: 7598884020 | 8903334020 | 9597984020 | 9363034020. We will follow up and get your demat account opened immediately. You will also be added to our exclusive Fincliniq-Zerodha support groups.
Yes, the demat account is free to open. The only payment during the process is ₹1 if you choose the UPI method to link your bank — this is a bank verification payment, not a fee. Annual maintenance charges may apply separately.
