For over 45 years, our craftsmen have used a combination of their skill and the latest stone working equipment to create dignified yet original memorials in a range of coloured granites sourced from India and worldwide. Currently, we are exporting our monuments to Europe and various other countries.

Shri R. Obli Chetty laid the foundation of Obli Granites in 1975. He was one of the few people to operate a black granite quarry in the southern western ghats region with more than 1200 workers and export black granite rough blocks to Japan.

Since then, we have vast experience in mining and quarrying, paving the way to export granite blocks, monuments and other granite products.  As a family-run business, inherited by his sons’ Mr Ulaganathan and Mr Mohan and his grandson, Mr Obli Surya Prakash, we have established a strong foothold in the industry by exporting carved stone products for memorials, finished granite slabs, granite blocks and various other products.

With sound business sense and dynamic leadership, we have led the Obli Group into diverse business interests. Coffee estates, Real estate development, Civil Construction and Mining & Quarrying are its business endeavours.
