Hair spa is not one service. Racecourse runs distinct protocols for moisture loss, structural damage, dandruff and scalp congestion — different actives, different steam times, different aftercare. The consultation decides which.

The Four Protocols

Moisture Restore for dry, dull hair. Bond Repair for chemically damaged hair. Scalp Balance for dandruff and flaking. Detox for heavy product build-up and oily roots. A technician selects after examining scalp and lengths.

The Professional Hair Spa Protocol

A professional hair spa is cuticle work, and it runs in a fixed order. Clarify first, with a chelating wash that lifts hard-water minerals and product build-up. Then treat, with a mask matched to your hair's porosity. Then steam, so the mask penetrates rather than coats. Then seal.

Skipping the clarifying phase is the single most common reason a hair spa disappoints. In Coimbatore, where the water is hard, conditioning over a mineral coating achieves almost nothing.

How It Works

Clarify

A chelating wash binds calcium and magnesium deposits and lifts them off the cuticle.

Diagnose & Treat

Scalp examined, porosity assessed, then a mask selected — not a default one applied.

Steam

Fifteen minutes of controlled heat opens the cuticle so actives reach the cortex.

Seal

A cool rinse closes the cuticle, a leave-in protects it, and a blow-dry finishes.

Can I have a hair spa with coloured hair?

Yes, and colour-treated hair often needs it most. The technician will select a colour-safe, bond-supporting protocol.

What does a hair spa actually do?

It lifts build-up from the cuticle, delivers a porosity-matched treatment into the hair shaft under controlled steam, then seals the cuticle. The result is reduced frizz, restored moisture and better manageability for four to six weeks.

How much does a hair spa cost?

From Rs.4,500 for men, Rs.5,000 for shoulder-length women's hair, up to Rs.6,500 for extra-long hair.

How long does it take?

About seventy-five minutes, including the blow-dry finish.

How often should I have one?

Healthy hair, every couple of months. Damaged or chemically treated hair benefits from a course — four sessions at three-week intervals, then maintenance every six weeks.
